Therapy

Finding a way to feel more at home in ourselves.

There are times in life when we may feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected or uncertain about ourselves and the direction our lives are taking. We may find ourselves caught in familiar patterns, struggling in relationships or experiencing feelings that are difficult to understand.

Therapy offers a confidential, supportive space to explore these experiences with curiosity, compassion and without judgement.

My Approach

I offer psychosynthesis counselling, an integrative approach that brings together psychodynamic, humanistic and transpersonal perspectives.

My work is relational, trauma-informed and grounded in the understanding that our experiences, relationships and early environments can shape how we see ourselves and respond to the world.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or trying to change who we are, therapy can help us develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, recognise patterns that may no longer serve us and reconnect with our own values, needs and sense of self.

I draw on mindfulness, somatic awareness and reflective exploration, working collaboratively and at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

What I Can Help With

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, depression and emotional distress
  • Trauma, PTSD and difficult childhood experiences
  • Relationship difficulties and coercive control
  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Low self-esteem, shame and self-criticism
  • Stress, burnout and life transitions
  • Identity, belonging and questions of meaning
  • Health-related challenges and changes in life circumstances

You don’t need to have a clear understanding of what’s troubling you before coming to therapy. Sometimes the starting point is simply a sense that something doesn’t feel right.

Sessions and Fees

I offer individual counselling for adults, both in person in Derby and online.

Individual counselling: £65 per 50-minute session.

Free introductory consultation: 20 minutes, offering an opportunity to ask questions, discuss what brings you to therapy and explore whether working together feels right.

A limited number of concessionary places may be available.

Qualifications and Professional Registration

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

My work is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework, with ongoing clinical supervision and professional development.
